Privacy Policy - TUPITI

Applicable to: The mobile application "TUPITI" and all its contents and functionalities (hereinafter, "the App" or "the Service").

At jgio.dev, we are deeply committed to privacy and security, especially when it comes to children. This Privacy Policy explains our information practices for our educational App. Please read it carefully.

What You Need to Know

We do not collect children's information. The App is designed for children to use without any personally identifiable information being collected, stored, or shared. We do not collect names, ages, usage data, location, device identifiers, or any other information.

  • Parents are in complete control. The App is a closed and safe environment. It includes no social media features, public chat functions, or external internet links.
  • No advertising or tracking. We do not display third-party advertisements within the App. We do not use cookies, beacons, or tracking technologies to profile users.
  • Optional Voice Features (Local Only). Future updates may include optional games that use the microphone (e.g., for the child to name animals). The entire interaction happens on your device. Your child's voice is processed instantly and locally to trigger an animation, and it is never recorded, stored, or sent to the internet. This feature will always be optional and require your explicit approval.
  • One-time secure payment. The only time we process personal information is during the initial App purchase, and this information is securely managed through the official app stores.

1. Information We Collect (and What We DON'T Collect)

A. Children's Information: ZERO COLLECTION

Our App is deliberately designed to NOT COLLECT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM CHILDREN who use it. This includes their voice. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Identity Data: Name, age, alias, photos, or voice.
  • Usage Data: Content viewed, time spent, progress in activities, drawings created, preferences, or searches.
  • Device Data: IP address, unique device identifier (IDFA, AAID), device type, location.

The drawings children create are processed and saved exclusively in the device's local memory (your tablet or phone). They are never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

For optional voice functionalities:

  • Audio processing occurs exclusively in your device's temporary memory (RAM).
  • No audio files are created.
  • Voice data is not transmitted to our servers or any third party.
  • The sole purpose is to enable real-time interaction (e.g., an animal reacting) within the App.

B. Adult Information (Parent/Guardian)

The only interaction where we may receive information is during the one-time App purchase:

  • External Processing: We do not process payments directly. All transactions are handled through the secure platforms of the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Information We Receive: When you make a purchase, the corresponding platform (Apple/Google) provides us with a confirmed and anonymous purchase receipt. This receipt typically contains a transaction identifier, purchase date, and the product purchased, but does not include sensitive financial details like your credit card number. Your name and billing address associated with your Apple/Google account remain under the control of those platforms and are subject to their own privacy policies.
  • Contact Email: If you contact us directly for support (e.g., through the email provided in the App), we will use your email address solely to respond to your inquiry. We will not add it to marketing lists without your express consent.

2. How We Use Information

We use the limited information we may receive (the anonymous purchase receipt) exclusively to:

  • Verify the App license and enable full access to paid content on your device.
  • Prevent fraud and enforce our terms of service.
  • Provide customer support if you contact us.

3. Microphone Usage (Optional Feature)

Some educational activities within the App may, with your explicit permission, use the device's microphone to listen to your child's voice and respond with interactive animations. It is essential that you understand how this technology works:

  • 100% Local Processing: Voice recognition runs completely within your tablet or phone. We do not use cloud services for this purpose.
  • No Recording or Storage: Audio is analyzed in the moment to detect the target word or sound and is immediately discarded afterward. We do not store voice recordings.
  • Parental Control: The first time an activity with microphone access is opened, the operating system (iOS/Android) will ask for your permission. You decide whether to grant it or not. You can change this decision at any time from your device's privacy settings. If you do not grant permission, voice activities will not work, but the rest of the App will remain available without limitations.
  • Why We Ask: We ask for this permission solely to enable your child to interact with the App using their voice. We believe this makes learning more engaging and effective.

4. Disclosure of Information to Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties. We only disclose information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We may employ trusted companies ("data processors") for very specific technical tasks, such as hosting the servers that distribute the App's videos. These providers are strictly prohibited from accessing any user data and must comply with our privacy obligations.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, for example, to comply with a subpoena, court order, or applicable legal process.

5. Data Retention

Child's Data: Since we do not collect it, there is nothing to retain.

Transaction Data: We retain anonymous purchase records (receipts) for the minimum period required by law for accounting, tax, and regulatory compliance purposes. Thereafter, they are securely deleted.

6. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the integrity of the App and our systems. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. If you have reason to believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us immediately.

7. Your Rights and Choices

  • Parental Control: You, as the parent or guardian, have complete control over the device and App usage. You can uninstall it at any time.
  • Access and Deletion: Since we do not maintain a user account with personal data, there is no profile to review or delete. To completely remove all traces of the App, simply uninstall it from your device.
  • Do Not Track: Our App does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals because we do not engage in user tracking activities.
  • Microphone Permission: You can revoke microphone access at any time through your device settings. If you do so, voice-based features will stop working, but the rest of the App will function normally.

8. Regulatory Compliance (COPPA, GDPR, and Others)

  • COPPA (USA): Our practice of not collecting data from children under 13 meets and exceeds the requirements of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.
  • GDPR (EU/EEA): For residents of the European Union and the European Economic Area, our "no collection" practice means we do not process personal data subject to the GDPR, offering the highest level of privacy by design.
  • UK GDPR: The same principles apply for users in the United Kingdom.
  • Other Jurisdictions: Our commitment to local processing and minimal data collection aligns with the principles of privacy laws worldwide.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "Last Updated" date at the top will indicate when it was last revised. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
